    It’s amazing that Keyes was ever a diplomat. He lacks a key talent required of the profession: speaking effectively with aliens (in this case, non-Christians). He annoys a lot of his fellow Christians as well – not just for being a PR nightmare for the faith, but in this case for being presumptuous about What Jesus Would Do. If God does manipulate the political process as the Bible states, the roster of world leaders in and out of the Bible illustrates that God often gives power to those who behave in ways a lot worse than Obama. Best not to second-guess divine realpolitik.
