Blogs and Journalism

Dean Esmay makes a good point when he says that blogs are changing the face of journalism. I think it is becoming more dencentralized, in that individual journalists (bloggers) have editorial control over their work. This is similar to the pamphleteering and the like that Franklin, Paine, Locke, etc engaged in, a few centuries ago.
The internet is a wonderful creation that promotes liberal values through action. It allows for the free exchange of information and other commodities, while undermining the coercive power of the state. It is democracy in action. The revolution will be blogged (if someone has already coined this phrase, my apologies for not attributing).
