You’re The Guns of August!
by Barbara Tuchman
Though you’re interested in war, what you really want to know is what
causes war. You’re out to expose imperialism, militarism, and nationalism for what they
really are. Nevertheless, you’re always living in the past and have a hard time dealing
with what’s going on today. You’re also far more focused on Europe than anywhere else in
the world. A fitting motto for you might be "Guns do kill, but so can
diplomats."

Take the Book Quiz
at the Blue Pyramid.

She’s my favorite history author, so this makes perfect sense.

Well I seem to be James Joyce’s “Ulysses” thanks to your book quiz. I suppose other options could have been a good deal worse.
One could also do much worse for an historian than Barbara Tuchman, who actually makes it interesting to read.
    Imagine that.

Hmmm… that test is farked. It says I’m Howard Zinn’s American History, and I’m out to tell it like it is, warts & all.
Well, the second part is true, but other than having a penis, opposed thumbs and having read Gibbon, I cannot imagine what I could possibly have in common with that old school Marxist apologist.
Besides, if I am any kind of a book, I am a Confederacy of Dunces.

Al – At least you don’t mumble on and on whilst nestled in the generous bosom of Molly Bloom. LOL Steve (Actually I liked “Ulysses” and “Portrait” but have never been that fond of Finnegan’s Wake” and thoughts of nestling in the bosom of Molly ain’t all that bad…… 😉
