Some people are not as happy

Kofi Annan, for one, was about as equivocal as he could be:
“The Secretary-General considers that the capture of Saddam Hussein, the epitome of the former regime, is an important event”.
Of course. Important. The Iraqis jumping for joy and dancing in the street are just overwheled by the…. importance of it all.
And there’s the hopefully self-fulfilling statement of Samer Saado, a Damascus florist:
“What the Americans are doing in Iraq and everywhere else is humiliating” … “There’s nothing to say we’re not next in line.”
Allah willing, Mr. Saado. Allah willing.
UPDATE: In the happy reaction department, Web God Mike links to this outpouring of joy from Iraqi blogger Omar. I cannot do it justice. Go read it all.
