Apologies

The people of the remote Fijian village of Tui Navatusila have invited the decendants of the late Reverend Thomas Baker to the island to apologize for their ancestors eating him 136 years ago.
According to an account, a villager who partook in the Rev. Baker said

We ate everything but his boots.

The mind boggles.
