It’s about time

The Democrat party can no longer take the votes of African Americans for granted, according to anarticle by Lynnette Clemetson in the New York Times (yes you read that correctly):
The party is perilously out of touch with a large swath of black voters — those 18 to 35 years old who grew up after the groundbreaking years of the civil rights movement. It is a group too important and complex to ignore, many strategists caution, when analysts are predicting another close election.
And here are words that warm my heart:
“This is very disconcerting for us going forward,” said Terry McAuliffe, chairman of the Democratic National Committee. “It is critical that we do a better job of connecting.”

Don’t bother, Terry. Just keep doing what you’re doing.
